Purple Reign
The JMU University Program board held it's second annual spring music festival, Purple Reign, in 2023. This festival brought the JMU community together with inflatables, live music, games, and food. 
Problem: UPB's spring concert was formerly called "Madipoloza" and two years ago UPB rebranded it to "Purple Reign." JMU students are unaware of what Purple Reign is.
Key Insights: JMU students learn about UPB's events mainly through social media and posters around campus.
Marketing Goal: To create awareness of and brand recognition for Purple Reign.

   1. Creating Awareness
UPB rebranded their spring music festival and named it "Purple Reign." Many JMU students do not know what Purple Reign is or means. Therefore, UPB made posters to hang up around campus to spread awareness. 
Noelle Clark and I collaborated on the design. We were inspired by other music festival posters that had a sun and rays. The festival took place on JMU's East Campus lawn. As the headliners performed, the sun set behind the mountains. This was a major inspiration for the design. 
I then made an Instagram post to put on UPB's Instagram to inform students on social media about Purple Reign. This graphic was inspired by the poster graphic.
I also created a graphic that could go on the many TVs around JMUs campus. Again, I stuck with the same design that Noelle and I collaborated on. 
Maeve and I made an Instagram Reel to introduce Purple Reign in an interesting and engaging way to JMU students.
2. Artists Reveal
With contracts signed, UPB could announce the emcee for the festival. Noelle and I collaborated on this design. We also used a similar design to announce the headliners. We kept the same colors from the announcement graphic to keep the campaign cohesive.  
With a few days before the concert and contracts finally signed, we could announce the headliners. The design is similar to the emcee graphic. Noelle and I were inspired by other music festival's graphics.
 3. Festival Prep
With all the messages UPB had about Purple Reign, we decided to make a post with a bunch of info about what to expect from Purple Reign. I made this graphic and kept to the same color scheme and design theme of the previous posts. 
I made all the designs for the giveaways to be handed out at the festival. This is the tote bag I designed. I didn't want to put "Purple Reign" on it so that people will want to use it more often. However, I kept the same colors and fonts that were used in all the graphics.
